Grease The Musical

Grades 6 - young adult 

 

Auditions: 

Saturday, June 8, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM or Tuesday, June 11, 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

You need only attend one audition. 

(Audition Location: Mary Cariola Center, 1540 Mount Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620)

For the audition, please prepare up to 32 measures of  music in  the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music. You will also be asked to read from the script. Please also wear or bring comfortable dance attire, as all auditioning will be required to learn a short dance/movement combination. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the designated time to complete the paperwork. Bring a headshot, resume, and conflicts to the audition.

Rehearsals:  July 22 – Aug 1 (Monday – Friday), 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Aug 2, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

(Rehearsal Location: Stilla Dance, 19 Main Street, Scottsville, NY 14546)

Performs:  Aug 2 @ 7:00 PM & Aug 3 @ 3:00PM & 7:00 PM (3 shows)

(Performance Location: The Norman Howard School, 275 Pinnacle Rd, Rochester, NY 14623)

Synopsis

Grease follows the lives of a group of high school students in the 1950s. The story revolves around the romance between Danny, the leader of the Greasers, and Sandy, a sweet and innocent girl who transfers to his school. They must deal with the challenges of peer pressure, social norms, and their own feelings as they try to stay together.

​

Cost:Cost: $350 (includes cast shirt)

A $75 non-refundable deposit is due at registration to reserve your spot. Balance is due on May 1st.

There are no refunds given after the show has been cast.
