Frequently Asked Questions:
What does it mean to be housed at the Norman Howard School?
- Terry Fyke is the Artist in residence at the Norman Howard School, allowing Main Street Players to use the P. Ken Dennis theater for their rehearsals and performances.
Does being housed at the Norman Howard School mean your shows only involve students with special needs?
- No, although we accept everyone regardless of their experience level, we are not exclusively a special needs program.
What is the audition process like?
- When you come for auditions, you begin by filling out an audition form and any remaining registration paperwork (if you have not done so online). Then, students go into the theater, and we do a vocal, dancing, and acting audition. With most of our programs, and section of a song from the show will be taught for auditions but with our older shows you may be required to bring a piece. We strive to keep the environment safe and inclusive for all involved.
Can I unregister for a program?
- Yes, we understand circumstances change. If you need to unregister, you may do so before the audition process commences. You will be issued a full refund via a check within two weeks of notification.
